There’s something vintage, classical and modern about ampersands. I guess you could say it’s timeless typography.

Very nice design example, simple home page with a good correlation between the logo and navigation. I love the animated transparent layers at the top. I’ve had something like that in mind for my site for a long time, but as usual not done anything about it =P
